Copic

Under The Weather?

Today's project is an entry into Ellen Hutson's Pin Sights Challenge!  The inspiration images are beautiful!  For my project, I used several Essentials by Ellen sets...

  • All Inside (the cute bear image with the arms cut out)
  • Bear Ware (the umbrella)
  • Wonky Backgrounds (the grass)
  • Warm Fuzzies (the sentiment)

Under the weather 4.30.17

To start, I used a Clarity Stencil brush to lay down a small area of purple ink and stamped a bit of grass on the bottom edge.  The bear and umbrella images were stamped, colored with copics and cut out using the matching dies.  The umbrella also has a layer of glossy accents for some shine. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock, with and inside sentiment "Feel Better Soon."

Thanks for visiting and happy inklings!

Hello all

Today's project is my first Christmas Tag for 2017.  Each year I make multiple tags to give to family, friends and co-workers as Christmas gifts.  The cute snowman stamp is from Art Impressions called Snowman Shaker.  He is colored with copics and mounted on a red tag stamped with a distressed brick background stamp.  I colored the snowman some time ago during Kathy Rac's 30 Day Coloring Challenge last fall.

Hello all!  Hope you, your family and friends had a wonderful Christmas!

I have one more Christmas tag to share with you that I started during Kathyrac's last 30 Day Coloring Challenge finished a few weeks ago.   The tag is die cut from Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags.  I first put a layer of distress ink then, over top of that, used a striped stencil to add more color.  Next I colored some white card stock with several green copic markers to create an ombre effect and die cut the joy using the Lawn Fawn Scripty Joy die.  I added some sparkle with clear Wink of Stella then a layer of glossy accents and adhered to the tag with another joy behind it cut from white card stock.

This tag will be entered in the Simon Says Make It Sparkle Challenge.

Hello all!  Back with another Christmas Tag!  This one features WPlus9 Friends For All Seasons - Fall.  The cute bear with the scarf looked pretty holiday-ish to me so why not?  The little guy is colored with copics, cut out with the matching die and popped up with foam tape.  The sentiment, from the Simon Says Stamp Happy set, is stamped and white cardstock and is a little base for the bear.  The tag is cut with the largest ofWPlus9 Timeless Tag dies.

Double Partial Die Cutting

Hello all!  I don't do this technique very often but I love it!   The double partial die cutting is easy once you do it a few times.   This project features the Essentials By Ellen All Inside and the coordinating die.  The bear is colored with copics and the sunshine sentiment is also colored a "sunshine yellow."  The little guy is so cute and the die cuts out his hands so he can hold all kinds of things!

The sun rays in the die cut window were created using the My Favorite Things Sun Ray stencil some ink blending with distress inks.

Hi all!  Today's project is my 3rd giftable tag for 2016.  Super simple - I cut the tag using Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Dies and stamped the cat (I guess?) and the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love set with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.  The cat is simply colored with copics and I added an offset tag to the back with the "To and From" stamped on the back.

This project will be entered in the SSS Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says Stamptember Stamp It!

Fall Thanks

I really enjoy participating in Kathyrac's coloring challenges.  I created the front card panel in today's project during the Fall 2015 30 Day Coloring Challenge and here is the final card - finally!  The design is inspired by the Starbucks cup that Kathy colored during that challenge.  This was very fun to do since I love to color with Copics so much!  In fact I have at least one more stamped panel waiting to be colored!

The images are from an older GinaK set called Sunkissed Autumn and the thanks die cut is from the MFT Many Thanks die cut set.

Essentials by Ellen Warm Fuzzies and All Inside

Today's project is an entry in the Essentials by Ellen Pin Sights Challenge - here is the inspiration photo.

AugustPinsights

I decided to use my newly arrived Essentials by Ellen Warm and Fuzzies set along with the Essentials By Ellen All Inside Set.

Hugs 8.22.16

First, I colored the bear with copics, inspired by a post by Dawn Woleslagle on the WPlus9 Blog.  I wanted to try to achieve a lighter color for the bear - it always seems like my critters end up being too dark.  I liked how it turned out!  After cutting him out with the matching die, I adhered him to a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock that I had masked off and loosely watercolored.  The greeting that the bear is holding is from the Warm Fuzzies set and was white heat embossed.    The Hugs greeting is from the All Inside set stamped with black versafine ink embossed with clear embossing powder.

12 Giftable Tags of Christmas # 2

Today's project features the Mama Elephant Reindeer Games set and is part of my series of Christmas Tags for 2016.  First, I prepared the tag by cutting one of the tags from the Large Tag die from Simon Say Stamp using navy cardstock.  Then to give it more night sky dimension, I sponged on some Black Soot Distress Ink with an ink blending tool.  Next, I used the SSS Falling Snow Stencil and some white pigment ink to create the look of snow.  The cute reindeer and pine tree from Mama Elephant Reindeer Games are colored with copics and cut with the matching die.  To finish off the tag, I put a snow border under the reindeer using the MFT Snow Drifts Border Dies.  A little Wink of Stella finished off the snow drift.

Mama Elephant Woodland Gifts

Today's project is another entry into the Simon Says: Let's Go Wild Challenge.  I love critter stamps and the bear and bunny in the Mama Elephant Woodland Gift set are great!  The look on the bear's face so cute!  The background was masked off on all sides and then I used my new Clarity Stencil Brushes to make a soft background with some distress inks.  Love using the stencil brushes - they made the putting the color down very easy.

All the images - bunny, bear, log and balloon were colored with Copics.  To give the balloon more dimension, I added some glossy accents.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
