Embossing

Under The Weather?

Today's project is an entry into Ellen Hutson's Pin Sights Challenge!  The inspiration images are beautiful!  For my project, I used several Essentials by Ellen sets...

  • All Inside (the cute bear image with the arms cut out)
  • Bear Ware (the umbrella)
  • Wonky Backgrounds (the grass)
  • Warm Fuzzies (the sentiment)

Under the weather 4.30.17

To start, I used a Clarity Stencil brush to lay down a small area of purple ink and stamped a bit of grass on the bottom edge.  The bear and umbrella images were stamped, colored with copics and cut out using the matching dies.  The umbrella also has a layer of glossy accents for some shine. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock, with and inside sentiment "Feel Better Soon."

12 Giftable Tags of Christmas 2016 #5

Hello all!  Back today with another Christmas Tag for my 12 Giftable Tags of Christmas series.  This one is super simple.  The tag base is cut from Bristol Smooth paper with the Lawn Fawn Circle Tag die.  Next, I stamped the cute Savvy Stamp Penguin with versamark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  Detail is added to the cheeks and scarf with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  Added a little twine and that was it!

Clean and Simple Thank You

Hello all!  Today's project is an entry in Simon Says Clean and Simple Challenge....

Products from a few different companies are used in the card.  First, I ink blended some Distress Ink on the background using the Crafters Workshop Mini Chunky Chevron.  Next, the sentiment, from WPlus9/Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks is stamped with Versafine Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The triangle border is from Simon Says Stamp Flip Flop Season set and is also stamped with Versafine Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Many Thanks 9.15.16

Smile!

Today's project is an entry in the Simon Says It's Hip To Be Square Challenge featuring the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers and Happy and Smile Stamp Sets.

First, I cut a square from Smooth Bristol cardstock and white heat embossed the flowers around the perimeter of the square.  The flowers are watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The greeting is heat embossed with gold in the center of the panel.  The center panel and card base are splattered with paint.  Also, I used a Jennifer McGuire trick to add emboss "splatters" to the card base.  Just put some water droplets, added embossing powder and heat set.  Pretty good trick!

Distress Ink Watercolor Stamping

Today's project is inspired by the Online Card Class - Watercolor For Cardmakers Exploring Mediums and is an entry in the current Wplus9 Sketch Challenge.  I love using the Wplus9 Fresh Cut Florals set with distress inks to do watercolor stamping with distress inks.

Lucky Stars...

For today's project, I wanted to try to create a galaxy background.  I found a great video by Dawn at Wplus9 demonstrating doing a galaxy watercolor background.    Here is my attempt at a galaxy background using the Wplus9 Lucky Stars set.

I used the SSS Stitched  Rectangle dies to create a frame for a shaker card.  I love how it turned out (thanks Dawn) except in my picture there is an unfortunate placement of a green sequin!

Season's Tweetings!

Today's project is an entry in the Lawnscaping Challenge: Texture.

My texture is added with the use of a Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing folder.  The raised snowflakes are sponged with just a bit of white pigment ink to make them pop!  The focal image is from the Seasons Tweetings set by Lawn Fawn, colored with copics, and cut with the Lawn Fawn Tag Your It Die.

Wish Big!

I am so happy to finally have this stamp set - Essentials By Ellen Wish Big by Julie Ebersole!  So I had to use it for the current Ellen Hutson's Mix It Up Challenge.  The challenge is to combine an Essentials by Ellen product and one by Impression Obsession.  Here is my project incorporating the Wish Big set with an Impression Obsession Background - Distressed Brick.

The Distressed Brick background is clear heat embossed - just partially stamped - on a card base of SU Crumb Cake.  The images from Wish Big are watercolored with watercolor pencils.  To top it off, the sentiment is white heat embossed on a scrap of orange cardstock.

Now I need the dies for the set! :)
