More Watercolor!

Today's project is more homework for Online Card Classes Watercolor for Cardmakers Exploring Mediums.  The first lesson was about using different types of markers and I was inspired to use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color these cute critters from Lawn Fawn Into the Woods Stamp Set.

The project is also an entry in the current One Layer Card Lawnscaping Challenge.

Into the Woods 9.28.15

The critters are colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a waterbrush.  The background incorporates Jennifer McGuire's technique of using the marker around the perimeter of the image and using the waterbrush to feather it out.    The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Chit Chat set.

This project will also be entered in the Simon Says No Designer Paper Challenge.

Sending Smiles...

Today's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Make it Colorful - fun right?  My project features the Mama Elephant's Up and Away set and some soft ink blending.

I may have mentioned before that I have really been working on my ink blending a la Laura Bassen. She does a beautiful job.  I really fight having those round ink blobs because I get too crazy.  Anyway, Laura Bassen did a lesson on ink blending for the last OCC Background Check.  Specifically, I wanted to work on blending in the center of the card.  I was very pleased with the result but I need to keep practicing.

The cute monkey and umbrella from Mama Elephant Up and Away are colored with copics and cut with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from the same set.  The stitched lines across the bottom of the card are from the Technique Tuesday In Stitches set.

OCC Stretch Your Dies - Masking

Today's project is inspired by OCC Stretch Your Dies Day 3 - Using Basic Shape Dies to create a mask.  The card features Mama Elephant Up and Away stamp set and dies.  The bunny and balloon bouquet are colored with copics and die cut.  The background is masked off and colored with a cloud mask die and copic airbushing.

OCC Stretch Your Dies

Hello all!  Here is a card inspired by OCC Stretch Your Dies Day 1 - Word Dies.  Jennifer had a beautiful project using word dies to create a background.  Here is my take on it - using Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks die.  The stamps are from Hero Arts but I don't know the name of the set :).

12 Tags of Christmas 2015 #2

Hello!  Here is my second Christmas Tag for 2015!

The tag features an image from the OCC Copic Coloring.  I had several uncolored practice images left so I used them to make some tags.  The gift image is colored with copics (of course) and 3D mounted to the tag base.  To add a little texture and shine, I added glossy accents to the bow.  The scattered dots and greeting, from Lawn Fawn Winter Gifts, are embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to add a little more texture.

This project will be entered in Simon Says Add a Little Texture.

Hope you have a great day and happy inklings!

Today's card is fun one made with the new MFT Love Die and MFT Pierced Heart Stax.   The card base is SU Crumb Cake with a few splatters.  The heart die with the gaps was inspired by the most recent OCC Clean and Simple 4.  Kristina demonstrated the "border gap technique" - my version is the heart gap technique!?

Love 2.16.15

Anyway, hope you like it and happy inklings!

OCC Clean and Simple 4

So I only was able to create one card as homework from the class - just too busy with other things! The class, like all the others, was great though.

Day 1 was all about embossing and masking.  Jennifer's lesson covered multi-colored embossing.  The only embossing powders I have are metallic - sliver, gold and platinum.  So I went with it...

The multi-embossed background stamp is MFT Romantic Script.  The sentiment is the Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks die.  The die cut was embossed multiple time and with both silver and gold.

Thanks 2.5.15

Hope you like my homework and happy inklings!
