Paper Smooches

Hey Chickie!

For today's project, I decided to do another entry in Ellen Hutson's Mix It Up Challenge.  The challenge is to use an Essentials By Ellen product with one from Paper Smooches.  I decided to use Paper Smooches Chubby Chums along with Bokeh Dots by Julie.

First, I colored the chick image and fussy cut it out.  Then I masked off a circle on the card front and used the Bokeh Dots set to create a fun and colorful frame.  To finish, I added the chick and added a sentiment.

Bokeh Thank You

Hello all!  Today's project is an entry in Ellen Hutson's July Mix It Up With Paper Smooches Challenge. These challenges are really fun to do!

I used the Essentials By Ellen Bokeh Dots by Julie and the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set to make a super simple thank you card.  First, I masked off the edges of the card with blue painters tape and sponges on some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  Next, I used the Bokeh Dots set with a very light gray ink to add some more dimension to the background.  After finishing the background, I removed the mask, stamped the sentiment in Black Versafine Ink and heat embossed  with clear embossing powder.

Birthday Wishes with Paper Smooches

Today's project is a birthday card for the dog lover .... and we have many dog lovers in our family! Using distress inks, I created the cloud portion of the background with a cloud template with a little bit of green blended at the bottom.  The cute dog is from the Paper Smooches Woofers and Tweeters Set colored with copics and fussy cut.  Next, the balloons and sentiment are from the SSS Birthday Balloons stamp and die set.   This is all adhered to a card base using SU Crumb Cake.

12 Tags of Christmas 2014

Today's tag features a cute snowman from Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes.  Again, I tried an experiment - this time with different copic backgrounds.   For the first two tags (left and middle), the background is colored with copics - first a light color pallete, then a dark one.  The bakckground on the last tag is airbrushed with copics after first masking off the image.

The airburshed background was definitely easier but you do have to do the masking...so I guess it depends on the project.

12 Tags of Christmas 2014 - July

Hi all - Back again with another clear acetate project - I told you how much I love the clear!  Anyway, I put toghether a quick Christmas Tag using the Paper Smooches Swanky Snowman set.  The cute snowman is colored with Peerless Watercolors and the fun tag shapes are cut using the WPlus9 Timeless Tag Dies.

Paper Smooches Shaker Card

Playing along today with two challenges - Simon Says...Shake It! and Paper Smooches Anything Goes.

First, inspired by a recent Jennifer McGuire blog post, I made the background by inking a Cuttlebug Argyle Embossing Folder with red ink.  The shaker shape was cut with a new-to-me die Paper Smooches Pocket Die.  The little "shakelets" were cut from the same die, plus a few sequins and gold hearts.  The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set and cut with a talk bubble die.

Stenciled With Sympathy

Hello all! Happy Friday...today's card is inspired by another of Debby Hughes cards from the Online Card Class Stenciled.   I just signed up for the Clean and Simple 3 class - can't wait!   The background is made with a Heidi Swapp stencil sponged with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The tag greeting from Paper Smooches is embossed in white on vellum.  Super easy but fun to make!

Smooches!

Hello all!

Today's project is another bit of "homework" from the Online Card Class Stenciled.   One of the Day 2 projects was Stencils + Stamping.  Kristina's project was super cute, she stamped inside the stencil then sponged around the edges of the open area of the stencil.  Mine is a simpler version, I used the Copic Airburshing System and a stencil to create the background.  Inside some of the shapes, I stamped hearts and flowers.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Chit Chat, stamped on vellum and heat embossed with white.
