Prismacolor Pencils

12 Tags of Christmas 2015 #6

Today's project is my 6th Christmas Tag for 2015 with a vintage style.  It features this cute stamp from the Lockhart Stamp Company colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  After coloring the bear, I did some ink blending with Tea Dye Distress Ink and also stamped the sentiment, from SSS Hoiday Hellos, with the same ink.  The tag is die cut with my trusty Lawn Fawn Tag You're It Die.

Hello all!  I can't believe I have only finished three sets of Christmas tags so far!  Oh well, it is what it is, right?

This set of tags features a retired Lockhart stamp colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  Nothing too fancy...  I colored the image during Kathyrac's first 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Lawnscaping Coffee Blog Hop

Today, I have the pleasure of participating in my very first ever blog hop - the Lawnscaping Coffee Blog Hop!

Here is the inspiration for the hop...fun stuff right?

  Image1

I had a few ideas related to the theme so I created two projects for the hop.  Both use the Lawn Fawn Love You A Latte Set and Milo's ABC's.  I love the Milos' ABC's because you can create any sentiment you like!

For my first card, I stamped and masked several of the great coffee to go images from the set, did some ink blending for the background and colored the images with copics.  The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock and popped up for some dimension.  I think the sentiment goes well with the many coffee cups!

For my second card, I stamped the cute coffee mug on kraft cardstock and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. Next I used the coffee bean stamp to create a heart shaped frame around the mug.   I added a few hearts, some steam and the same sentiment!  Easy peasy!

12 Tags Christmas 2014 - November

Hello all -

Back today with another Christmas Tag.  This time I decided to do a coloring experiment - one each colored with watercolor, colored pencil and copics.

Elf tag 1 11.28.14

I stamped the My Favorite Things Elf Girl Stamp set three times - two on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and one on watercolor paper.

The first tag is colored with Prismacolor pencils - I just did dry color blending.

Elf tag 3 11.28.14

On the next one, I used copics...

Elf tag 4 11.28.14

The third tag is watercolored using distress inks.

Elf tag 2 11.28.14

All the tag were finished off with a some Tea Dye Distress Ink blendd around the edges.

Which one do you like best?  Usually I prefer the bolder look of the copic marker coloring, but for this project, I think the watercolor is my favorite.

Thanks for visiting today and happy inklings!

Trish

12 Giftable Tags of Christmas 2013 - #6

Hello all!

Coming right along on my Christmas tag project!  This is tag #6 of 12 so...just a few more to go!

My tag today uses the reindeer stamp from the Paper Smooches set Santa Paws.  Isn't he cute with his googly eyes?  He is colored with copics and has some Christmas Red Stickles on his nose and on the little heard.  The sentiment is from the same set and is heat embossed on SU Crumb Cake cardstock.    I also did some faux stitching around the edge.

This tag will be entered in the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Anything Goes and the Lawnscaping Challenge #71 Tags and Treat Bags.

MFT Sketch Challenge

Decided to play along with the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #151.

The card starts out with a card base of Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock with another layer of Marshmallow cardstock embossed with a Swiss Dot embossing folder. The focal image is a stamp by Karen Lockhart colored with Prismacolor Pencils with some glossy accents on the vase.  A little punched heart is tucked behind the Thanks greeting, also from Karen Lockhart.

With Gratitude

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another thank you card!  Today's card features Hero Arts Bold Pop Designs which comes with matching dies.  The larger flower is stamped with SU So Saffron and thumped (here is a technique video by GinaK) with a SU Pumpkin Pie Marker.  It is finished off with various SU ribbon and patterned paper.  I love the greeting - it's from Paper Smooches!

This card is being entered in Ellen Hutsons' Make N Take Cling Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.
